Let's get this straight. What happened last Wednesday on A.I.--well, let's just say is is now officially referred to as the "event of which we do not speak", understood? :P I've done all I can to blot it from my mind and move on. No, seriously-it DID affect me that much. I mean it. Let's not talk about it again. Ever! (just kidding--well, kind of)
Now for stitching! Here's a few pics of my progress on With My Needle. I'm getting there....
My life seems so busy lately. You'd think that since I don't have to work over the summer, I'd be freewheeling and footloose. What the heck is going on? I've let emails go, I haven't stitched as much as I should, haven't been to all the beautiful blogs.....gotta get myself back on track. Me thinks too much laundry and housework is to blame, so to help with that, I took a trip to Everything Cross Stitch and browsed around. Well, that usually winds up with me purchasing at least a little something. So I picked up these:
I adore bees, so I had to have that LHN. I've not gone over the whole magazine yet, but nothing is truly jumping out at me. I'll be real interested to see the Christmas issue (like I'm going to stick to my plan of creating all those ornies, right?). Regardless, I just find myself having to buy that issue when it comes out. I love looking at it and dreaming about all the things I could be making. I hope everyone has a wonderfully stitchy week. We're looking at rain here. Here's to hoping the sunshine makes a quick return!

How lovely your blog header is :)
ReplyDeleteand your WIP...gorgeous!
Just popping in to say "hi" - I've been very remiss in blogging the last few months with the wedding. Love your "With My Needle" stitching - looking good :)
ReplyDeleteYour bbd is coming along very nicely. Love your new stash, I'm thinking about that new bee one myself.
ReplyDeleteThe BBD looks great.
ReplyDeleteI dream of stitching all them ornies too (sigh!!)
Your WIP is gorgeously coming along. Love the colors! Nothing popped at me with the JCS issue either but I did like the "italian tile".
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you make your blog header but I just LOVE IT. I received my JCS in the mail and the only one that screamed 'stitch me' was Brooks Elf and her little 4th of July angel...have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYour BBD is coming along great! I too have to comment on your blog header. I really like it!
ReplyDeleteYour BBD is looking so good and that flag is going to be beautiful! Love the stash, lucky you. The blog looks great, I need to get tech savvy like you.
ReplyDeleteYour BBD looks really great, and LHN "Bee Sampler" will be very beautiful work :)
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on your BBD! Your blog header is wonderful. Great new stash, too!
ReplyDeleteOh, wonderful! I love this HD threads...
ReplyDeleteIt's awful when life gets in the way of your needlework. :) There really is never enough time for our passion. Not as much as we'd like anyway. WMN's coming along nicely and you've been able to show up the fabric colour a bit more in those close up shots. Well done! Looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteNew header too - just love it!!!
Your BBD is absolutely gorgeous :o) I'm truly sorry about the thing of which we should not speak. It should not have happened...
ReplyDeleteHey Tammy!
ReplyDeleteYour BBD is soooo cute! You are making good progress. Love the header as well. It is darling! I'm in awe of your talents.
Fun new LHN design. That will be a fun finish.
Don't stress about AI too much. Runner ups, always seem to have as much fame and fortune as the winner. Nothing is ever "fair" in life, at least that's what I have to keep telling my kids. LOL.
Have a great day! Thanks for you fun comments on my blog. Your a doll!
I love your BBD! It looks really great!!
ReplyDeleteAdd me to the list of your blog header lovers! It really is pretty!!! Your BBD is lovely - such pretty colors and fun new stash purchases. Like you, even if I won't stitch a single one, gotta buy those special issues!
ReplyDeletePretty progress!
ReplyDeleteHey! I'm with you on the JCS mag! I went through it 3 times and nothing screamed "stich me"!
I also love your new blog header:)
Tammy, your BBD just looks gorgeous. It's such abeautiful design and you will finish it soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy thanks for visiting my blog, I'm behind with my blog reading but hope to catch up soon
ReplyDeleteYou're blog looks great, the BBD piece is coming along nicely love the colours. I'm patiently waiting on the JCS magazine coming over to the UK (25/6) love the LHN chart too
I too join the ranks of loving your new blogger head! VERY creative, and eye catching!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the current JCS issue, but I always seem to need to get those special issues. .and if I could actually have all of the patterns that I mentally stitch, My house would be overflowing with completed needlework! lol So I know the feeling of looking and dreaming of someday. . .
I LOVE your latest project! Somehow, it instantly has that graceful, warm patina that cherished, well cared for vintage needlework pieces exude. VERY well done!!
And as for that show that must not be mentioned. The runners-up often do better, if not the same success as the winners, and have more leeway in chosing the decisions to make on their musical path instead of having others making it for them. Now will be the race of completed CD's to market, and to see who sells the most! lol
Hi Tammy: Oh how I love your Blackbird Design here!! It is just totally beautiful!! I really love the fabby too that you are using! It reminds me of Days Gone By that is a favorite of mine! Your stitching is so pretty! I am in such a Blackbird Design mode myself too right now! I will have to try this beautiful fabric that you are using one day. Very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteTammy, it's looking great!!! You go girl! Great stash purchases too... I know what you mean about that LHN pattern. It's really way too cute...
ReplyDeleteStacy
I love the progress pictures. You do such lovely work and chose such neat projects. I always love visiting your blog.
ReplyDeleteI have never gotten the Christmas edition of Just CrossStitch, but I hear that it is definitly one to have. Might have to get one myself this year. Take care and enjoy the time off!
That was the very first BBD I stitched. Yours is so pretty. Love your new stash.
ReplyDeleteyour stitching looks pretty
ReplyDeleteI love your blog banner, too. Very cute. As for AI, I was very surprised, but they will both be millionaires, so we shouldn't feel bad.
ReplyDeleteYour BB piece is looking so pretty, love the way the colors are working together. Nice stash too. Like you I get the ornament issue each year but have yet to make an ornament out of it. However, I love looking at the pictues and I know I have a great collection of possible ornaments in there if I want them. Plus it's fun to go back through them every so often so I think they are well worth the money.
ReplyDeleteSue
