It means: "This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY-nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. "
What a nice thought! I certainly have made some cyber friends I wouldn't have otherwise had without my little blog. Thanks girls!! You rock!
I received this one from Jane , who is as lovely as her needlework.
Thanks Ladies, you have literally made my week with such wonderful thoughts. I have so many more blogs I neeed to add to my reader and blog roll lists--I love the fact that there are so many needleworkers sharing their work. And I love even more that so many others are encouraging of them! Great community, stitchers are. Just great!
Now, as you know, tomorrow is the final for Idol. That means that Adam needs votes and I'll be staying up late to do so, lol. Here's some eye (and ear) candy, since I've been lax on stitching this week due to other creative endeavors! Be back with some stitching very soon. What a beautiful song this is....oh, and be sure to download your copy from iTunes. I mean, seriously, how can you be without this??!
I hope Adam wins, but he doesn't really need Idol to be wildly successful. He is such a showman!
ReplyDeleteI have never voted, maybe I should!
Congrats on both your awards! You do deserve them.
ReplyDeleteIt is true that the stitchers community is really great. I even enjoy the friendships I got through blogging.
I did buy this song from Itunes. It's my favorite Idol song EVER!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the awards.
Congratulations, Tammy. I downloaded Mad World from iTunes, and watched this video this morning. Squee! for the finals. :o)
ReplyDeleteIt will be an interesting final!
ReplyDeleteYou're so deserving of your awards, Tammy. Your blog is such a joy to look at and I'm glad I found you - we have a lot in common with our stitching. Thanks for the darling compliment too!
ReplyDeleteI decided last night that I need to get Adam's Mad World for my iPod!
ReplyDeleteI so hope he wins tonight! :)
I'm sure he'll win...
ReplyDelete;)
I'd be Adam's "Fag Hag" any day! Those blue eyes just get me!
ReplyDeleteI agree that stitchers are some of the greatest people I've ever known. Some I've met in person and some not, but I do feel part of a great community through blogging about my stitching. So glad to see you get these awards--you deserve them!
ReplyDeleteSorry Adam didn't win, but I'm sure whatever he does after Idol will be amazing.
Congrats on both your awards!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great blog:)
Girl, let me tell you that I am still crying! My hubby just shakes his head.
ReplyDeleteThe graduation was packed at the Arena, I have pictures that will show his cap and gown, hoping to post tomorrow.
Just a little advice: Hold on to each day tightly and love your son with all your heart! I did manage to make that big ol' boy cry watching the video and my letter that I wrote to him. I swear, I snapped my finger and 19 years blinked by. I am saddened that I didn't realize until now that alot of things I made a fuss over in his growing years, they aren't important.
Get ready because they grow up so fast :)
Hugs,
Donna
Congrats on the awards. great job.
ReplyDeleteTo bad about Adam, but he still has the talent nd will make a name for himself.
