Woohoo! I got my mojo back, baby (said in my best Austin Powers voice)!! I started a new project promptly after my last post and have a couple pics. Here is the supplies and fabby for Spooky Hollow by With Thy Needle & Thread:
And my progress thus far:
You know I couldn't leave this witch with a pink face! She called out to me to stitch her true soul, which was green--green with envy, the spirit of Halloween, and lots of other sweet and sour things. I don't have a name for her yet, but she'll reveal it to me before I'm done, of that I'm sure. The model for this design was stitched over one, but no way could I leave her that small. She is "full sized" so I can always see her in all her glory. She also won't stand for sitting in the pile of finished works when she's done. She's going to have to go straight to the framer! Thanks for looking and for all your comments!
Not what I was expecting

She does look much better in green, who ever heard of a witch in pink!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a Verde to me. She looks so much witchier in green!
ReplyDeleteI would have changed her to green too. I can't believe she was originally pink. A pink witch? Never!!! Suzie. x :)
ReplyDeleteOOOO I love the green witch so much! Great progress too, Tammy!

ReplyDeleteLooks great. I love the idea of green face than pink. ~ Dawn ~
ReplyDeleteThis is a great pattern and a great start. I love that green face. Reminds me of the Wicked Witch of the West.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah--definitely the green face. Like what is that green liqueur? Sour Apple Pucker! Great design choice! You just needed it to be fallish to get your mojo back!
ReplyDeleteAs always you have the best blogger header pics! I *love* your sassy, sexy witch for the season. Enjoy the stitching and getting your mojo on ;)
ReplyDeleteoh...nice start...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty she is! Perfect for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteIt will be great with green face too! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreen is the perfect color for her face. After all, the wicked witch had a green face. In fact, I've never seen a witch with a pink face before.
ReplyDeleteLove your stitching and fabric color. Great choice!
You made some progress I see it done very soon.
God bless ~ Lenna
"ghostly cackles"... too cute! I love your new start! I really like the With Thy Needle & Thread patterns--such beautiful stuff. I would do it over two, too--and in green! I can't wait to see more progress as you move along.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're really going to enjoy this one, Tammy. I could feel your enthusiasm throughout your post! It's great when you know exactly how you want to stitch certain designs. Why follow the original guidelines? Creativity is the key. Speaking of which, I just love all your headers. I know I've said it before but they are so appealing. Don't think I'd know how to do anything nearly as good! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is going to look great! I love the color change too.
ReplyDelete"That's groovy baby" in my best Austin voice, lol
