This happened Wednesday afternoon. I heard the scream and thought "Nah, that's not my kid." Uh YEAH, it was! Poor boy. Somehow, we have to figure out how he's going to play his double bass in a concert this week. Should be fun.
Only yesterday did I manage to do a bit of stitching. Or was it the day before? The past few days have been a complete blur. Here's some pitiful progress on my poor snowman. I think the little flowers are so pretty.
I'm off today to try and get him out of the house to maybe go to lunch and let his Granny fawn all over him. ;) Oh, he'll hate that, won't he? Tonight, I'd like to get more stitching done. We'll see! Have a great stitchy week everyone, and I promise to get caught up on all your beautiful blogs very soon.....
Oh, I can hear it clear over here...."Mom, can you get me...." LOL. Cuteie snowman!
ReplyDeleteAww... poor guy & right at the beginning of spring too. I'm wishing him a speedy recovery. Snowman is looking good :-)
ReplyDeleteI've only broken each wrist (one in 3rd grade, one in 5th), so I can guess he's got it tougher than I ever did. Hope he's up and about soon! Oh yeah... love the stitching of course!
ReplyDeleteHope your boy mends quickly!
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy,

ReplyDeleteHi Tammy, thanks for following my blog, yours is great. I like the witchy connection, as my name comes from a book called 'Mist Over Pendle' all about Lancashire Witches. I am named after the daughter of one of them.
ReplyDeleteAww! that's terrible and just when the weather is getting nice too.
ReplyDeleteI bet he will love his granny's spoiling ways, hehe
I do hope it mends fast and well.
Nice stitching and hope you get more in.
You could always give him a needle and thread, while he's laid up, lol.
Ugh, poor kid! Grandma will help him recover - no doubt. Your blog looks great, as does the snowman. I hope you get a minute to rest and regroup!
ReplyDeleteIn response to your question on my blog ---
ReplyDeleteThe stitching project will go in a little tuck-away type pillow.
Should be done before Easter (crossing fingers)
Hi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteso sorry about your son!! OMG, skateboarding...my daughter busted open her chin doing that, had to get stitches! No fun! Hope his granny showers him with love...I think you are too :-)
Yes, that is me on Flickr, with the same name as my blog! Thanks for adding your pics, be sure to add this beautiful snowman! I have him in my stash, need to get busy!
I left you a comment or two on your wish list phots over on Flickr...LMK if you're still looking for them.
xoxo
I don't know who I feel sorry for more, your son or you in a week or so! I guess it's sorry for both of you for different reasons. It's amazing how an injury can turn things topsy turvy. Just be prepared with a simple cross stitch project for the first time he says "I'm BORED!..... Whip out the kit and offer to teach him how to stitch!
ReplyDeletePoor guy! I hope he heals quickly. Your red snowman looks great!
ReplyDeleteOh boy, you are in for it now! I remember when Jason broke his ankle, I thought I'll give him a bell to ring for me, good grief, that bell seemed to ring all day! hahaha (Do not give him a bell!)
ReplyDeleteWish him good luck, all the girls will want to help him out.
Donna
Oh no, that sounds so painful. I hope he's not in to much discomfort now and it heals quickly. Snowman is looking so cute, nice progress.
ReplyDeleteSue
Poor guy! Hope he doesn't have too much pain!
ReplyDeleteYour snowman looks nice, great progress!
Oh No!!! Bless his heart...and yours! I hope he's doing better soon:)
ReplyDeleteHey! Go to my site for an award!
Oh poor guy! It will take awhile before it's healed. Best wishes to him.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little snowman!
Girl, I just love that Snowman! How about a trade for the pattern when you are finished? I've got lots of tempting goodies and kits to choose from! Email me if your interested.
ReplyDeleteHope the injured is doing better! I feel for him and you.
Hugs my friend,
Donna
Oh dear....I'm sure he will feel well enough to play his music soon. Sometimes my heart is in my mouth when my son does stunts on his skateboard...no wonder i'm grey!
ReplyDeleteI'm falling in lust with all these cute snowmen I see - I wonder if 2010 should be my year of snowmen?
He is a cutie to be certain!
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog, and I'm really loving it! Love the snowman. I stitched him as well. He was a lot of fun, although I had a problem with my white thread turning pink from the red fabric!
Hope your boy gets better, and you can stop playing nurse and get back to more important things...stitching!
