Not at all happy about being back from the beach. NOT. AT. ALL.
But since I am, let me share a bit about what I did while I was there! First up, and foremost, is stitching. I actually made so much progress in just a short time, I've concluded that if I want to stitch more, I really need to move to the beach and be on a permanent vacation.
This is coming out super cute and I love it.
I also picked up a bit of stash-two of them were just unbelievable! I managed to snag Blackbird Designs Honeysuckle Manor (OOP) and Valentine Message (OOP) for regular retail price! They were tucked away in one of the shops I go to when on vacation and I was blown away. I saw them on Friday, and went back on Saturday when I had regret of not picking them up immediately!
I snagged Notforgotten Farm Witch's Garden Sampler and Shakespeare's Peddler The Mermaid from a stash group I'm in.
Next up, another Notforgotten Farm project that I am kitting up. I'm missing a couple colors, but I got the most interesting fabric. I'd seen it on Pinterest, where someone had used it for this pattern (Flag Folk) and thought it was SO cool looking that I just had to try it too! The fabric is PTP "Murky". And it's so neat.
OK, so other than stitching, I did have a great time at the beach. Spending time with the kids and eating great food, snacking and enjoying the colors and sights of the ocean and bay was pure heaven. We couldn't have asked for better weather either. It was gorgeous the whole time.
These are just a few snaps of MANY. I just want to remember it on my blog. I need to start doing Project Life again. I miss it. I need to do a LOT of things. I'll try to get my act together soon. I'm always trying to get my act together it seems!
Have a great week, and until next time...

Looks like a great time was had at the beach!
ReplyDeleteGreat stash!
I recently picked up Flag Folk too.
I have used Murky for a few things, now maybe I will consider it for Flag Folk. I will look for a pic of it on Murky.
Marilyn
Marilyn, look for Carol Sims on Facebook--she has her project listed there as a public photo. She also has it on Pinterest! It's lovely!
DeleteTammy, thank you for sharing the gorgeous beach photos. It looks like you have a wonderful vacation and awesome weather. The one with the boats reminds me of the summers spent at the shore in Connecticut. You made fabulous progress on your stitch piece and snagged some wonderful charts and fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin! We do love the beach. Connecticut is gorgeous!
DeleteNever been but I have seen so many photos.
LOVE the murky color of that linen !
ReplyDeleteThe beach has a way of grounding us - the smells and sounds and the pace of the day - a great time to reflect. ☺️
Rose
Oh my gosh Rose, that is exactly right! Have a great week/weekend!
